The country is bounded by the Mediterrenean and Red Sea and geographically dominated both by the Nile River and by the Eastern and Western deserts. Egypt is well-known for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most famous monuments, including the Gaza pyramid complex and its Great Sfinx. The souther city of Luxor contains numerious ancient artifacts, such as the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings.

Seychelles is an archipelago nation of 115 islands in the India Ocean that lie off the coast of East Africa, northeast of Madagascar.
Of these 115 islands, 41 constitute the oldest mid-oceanic gravite islands on earth while a further 74 form the low-lying coast atolls and reef islands of the Outer Islands. The granitic islands of the Seychelles archipelago cluster around main island of Mahé, home of the capital and the international airport. Seychelles has the smallest population of any state in Africa.
